If you are an internet marketer, you like almost every other internet marketer must understand how to get targeted traffic to your blog or website. You have to think of your website as you would a traditional storefront, and if you don't have enough targeted traffic – people visiting your website that are interested in your products and services – you won't make any sales and before long, your business will be out of business. So in this article, I'm going to lay out 5 things that you should do generate targeted traffic to your website.
1. Know and Use the Appropriate Keywords and Key Phrases
As an Internet marketer, you must understand what exactly your target market is searching for. This is called keyword research. There are several tools that are available to help you with your keyword research efforts – The Google Keyword Planner Tool is a free one that is provided by Google. I use Market Samurai to help me in my keyword research efforts you can get the free download of Market Samurai by Clicking Here.
The whole point of keyword research is to determine what keywords and key phrases people are using when searching for your product and services and to analyze which keywords are most appropriate for driving traffic to your website and then write content and use SEO Optimization techniques to get your content ranking at the top of the search engines. 2. Provide High-Quality Content Articles To Get Targeted Traffic
Once you have completed your keyword research and have determined which keywords you will use to create your content around, the next step is to actually create your content. As you create your content, you want to create keyword-rich, high-quality content that will capture the attention of your target audience and keep them engaged. You want to write for your audience first and then optimize the content for the search engines. Be sure that your content is reader-friendly ( for blog posts) and engaging. Remember not to stuff your articles with too many keywords to prevent it from being perceived as spam by your readers and blocked by the search engines.
3. Make Your Website Simple and User-friendly
Alright, so you might be tempted to entice your visitors with the graphics and series of animations on the website. However, this doesn't guarantee a following. Too many graphics and animations slow down a website and not only will it take time to load but the web spiders will also find it difficult to navigate through the site. When the crawler gets trapped, they won't be able to crawl the other on your site.
4. Social Networking Website
Social Media is huge these days. Youtube is the second largest search engine and Facebook has over 2 Billion active users. There are other social media sites like Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn that you can make use of as well. These sites have millions of users visiting them every day. As such if you produce high-quality content and promote that content using social media, you can siphon off a bit of this traffic to your website as well.
